Toho's "Bloodthirsty" Series Music Collection (CINK-7)

I am pleased to announce Cinema-kan's latest CD release! The release is titled Bloodthirsty Music: Toho's "Bloodthirsty" Series Music Collection. This new release contains composer Riichiro Manabe's music from Toho's Bloodthirsty Trilogy: "Fear of the Ghost House: Bloodthirsty Doll" (1970), "Cursed House: Bloodthirsty Eyes" (1971) and "Bloodthirsty Rose" (1974). I would have announced this release much sooner, but I didn't have a track list until recently. I wanted to give everyone as much information as possible, so I waited until I got the track list to announce the release here. August Ragone wrote about the release back in September 2015, which is how I found out about the release in the first place. It was released on November 25, 2015.

If you would like to order this release, it is available at ARK Soundtrack SQUARE for $25.80, and at HMV Japan for roughly the same price.

Upon the release, it was stated that the disc would contain the complete scores to all three films. Unfortunately, that is not the case. This means that you still have to buy VAP's ten disc Toho SFX Champion Festival box set in order to have the complete scores, which would cost you somewhere around $200 - $300. Does this mean you should pass up this release? Not at all. It's still a solid collection, providing a good sampler of the music from the films. It also contains four bonus tracks (alternate takes) that were previously unreleased. On top of that, you get most of the important cues from these scores for the fraction of that box set's price. I ordered it the day of its release, but it hasn't arrived at this time. A translated track list is provided below.

I ended up losing most of my CD collection back in 2016. Due to this, I am going to be purchasing a replacement copy of this album in December. This will be the first album from my old collection that I'm replacing.
