Not so many time ago, walking the downtown of Quito, Ecuador (a great beauty), I listened an accordionist far away who seemed to me to be playing Ifukube’s music, at least in a Ifukube-like manner. I did not talked to the accordionist (I did not found him) but now I assume he was playing traditional Ecuadorian music in a very slow way that resembled Ifukube.
Not the best example but imagine the music much more slow without voice or guitar:

Ifukube has made music with accordion-like instruments before. His score to "Tales of the Underworld: The Big Boss" (1959) is a great example of that.
