Hello my name is Barney I was introduced to perhaps the only forum that is based on Godzilla and Akira Ifukube music. I have been a Godzilla fan for over 35 years now. I have since collected alot of music, toys, and I do have a website based on all things kaiju. It's called Daikaijumania it has over twenty different websites, so check it out. Anyway I am glad to be here. dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/139581590/Daikaijumania/index.htm

Hello, I'm a pianist and really like Ifukube's music. Hmm... A friend and I spend months, like 8 months, in the search for Akira Ifukube's Violin and Piano Sonata sheet music, we made contact with people in Japan who were in different universities, libraries and music stores who never found the score, there were also three different people traveling to Japan and spending some time in the search for the score… Long story short, we found in the catalogue of a library in Canada so a friend of a friend managed to make a copy and send it to me via postal service.
This is the first of Ifukube I listened to:
(I am currently in the search for this sheet music)
Thank you for the work you are doing in spreading the music of Akira Ifukube.

I'm glad you found what you were looking for. What you hear there was also used in Ifukube's score to "Whistling in Kotan" (1959). A few of his vocal works would be used for the score. Thank you. I try to spread his music around as much as possible.
