Cinema-kan will be releasing the CD premiere of composer Shunsuke Kikuchi's score to the horror film "The Snake Girl and the Silver Haired Witch" (Daiei, 1968)! Until now, only a small number of cues from the score have been released, in King Records' ten disc King of the Monsters box set from 1991. This release of the complete score will be newly remastered and will feature bonus material.
The film, directed by Noriaki Yuasa (director of all but one of the original series of Gamera films), is based on manga publications by Kazuo Umezu. The story follows feuding sister witches who fight an evil force.
Titled The Snake Girl and the Silver-Haired Witch Original Soundtrack (CINK-48), this album will be available on May 23, 2018 (Japan time) and will be available at Amazon Japan and other online retailers.
